Being a mother is the hardest thing I had to do. The joy is tremendous! But behind the pretty instagram pictures and the funny stories, there was a lot of tears, many sleepless nights and lots of throw-up shirts. I can look back and say that having kids made me a better person; a more patient and understanding person. Above all, it made me appreciate my own Mother ALOT!!!! (I don’t know how she did it with 4 kids, moving to a new country and not knowing the language back then.)
So for the first time ever this year, I’m so excited to offer boho Motherhood mini-sessions to celebrate all of the Moms and Grandmas and kids out there. My friend, Jackie (from @JackiesFlowers) will be styling our boho set. She’s a well-known wedding florist here in Sacramento.
(I met Jackie 2 years ago at a wedding we both worked at. I was the photographer and Jackie was the florist. Her style was so fun, romantic and whimsical that I started following her on IG. Eventually, we became good friends. When I thought of the boho theme for Mother Day’s minis, she was the first person that came to mind. AND I’m SOOOO HAPPY that she agreed to style my set!!!)
This year, let’s celebrate Mother’s Day by being in front of the camera with your kiddos!!!
For one day only, let’s forget about those lengthy to-do lists & the comfortable sweat pants, let your hair down, and have some fun with your kids in front of the camera. Let’s invite the grandmas to come to the session too so we can document multiple generations of your family and the joy you have together.

I went to visit her last week at her floral studio to see what she already has that we can use. In addition to these, Jackie will be making some custom pieces for me too. EEEK! so excited!!!

Date: Saturday, April 24th and Sunday, April 25th
Time: 8am to 6pm
Cost: The “Motherhood” mini session is $300 for a 15 mins session and 10 edited digital images, $425 for 20 images, $500 for 30 pics or $700 for all of the pics. PLUS a few options for prints added.
Location: These sessions will take place at my studio in Elk Grove, CA. Once booked, I will text you the exact address 4 days before the shoot.
Clothing: Though not required, I recommend wearing white, light or neutral color clothing since the set will have lots of beige, white, and possibly some pink or yellow.
To book, I require $150 for the retainer. The remaining balance is due on the day of the shoot. After the session, I will send you a proof gallery of the pictures we took 1 week later so you can choose your favorites. At that time, you can choose to purchase more digital and order prints for your home. If you’d like a nice collage, I can schedule a time to come over to see what space do you have & help you design something nice to fit that space.
