Since watching Disney’s “Raya & The Last Dragon” on opening day, my daughter, London, has been obsessed!!!! At 3 years old, sitting through the whole movie is a very new concept to her. But she did, and she asked a million questions.
“What happened to Raya’s Dad?”
“Oh no! The dragon is hurt!”
(She looked devastated when she said this. It was the sweetest thing to see her emphasized with the characters.)
Since then, she’s been watching Raya everyday. Then last week, I saw that Joey (LauraIZ’s daughter) has a Raya costume on. I couldn’t help but showed London. After a mini search, we dashed to our local Target (at 9PM) because it showed that there are only 3 dress up costumes left. I couldn’t wait for tomorrow just in case it gets sold out.
Then my husband, Henry, had this idea that maybe we should take her to the yellow mustard field by our house to get some pictures done! I had taken the girls here last week after the rain & it was EPIC! So yesterday, we went again during sunset to photograph our little Warrior Princess!

We happened to have the cone hat already from her Lunar New Year outfit.

Here, we have Raya’s little dragon? Or is it BABY NOI?
(No costume for Alex but she’s so stinking cute that I’m sneaking in a few pics of her)

I hope you enjoyed this series. It was really fun to be able to go on these random adventures with our daughters after photographing so many stories for my clients over the years. I’m sure a lot of Moms will have questions about the costumes so I will try to answer some here:
You can find the Target Raya dress up costume here.
There is only one size for this costume. Unfortunately, there’s no S,M, or L. London is 3 and you can see that its a bit loose on her. I would say that this costume is best for 4 and 5 year olds.
For $20, the material is surprisingly really nice and seems to be wrinkle-free.
The sword is $20. Also at Target. There is “the Light of Kumandra” necklace too but I didn’t get it.
Underneath this, London was wearing yellow rain boots (also from Target). They went together perfectly.
This is not a sponsored post but it might as well be. lol.
Wishing you love and light!
