This past Saturday, Henry and I shot our first wedding of 2017 with Jason & Linda at Vizcaya Pavilion in midtown Sacramento and it was perfect in every way. I originally wanted to release a sneak peek only but I chose way too many images so here’s the full story of Linda & Jason’s fairytale wedding:
Henry and I arrived at Vizcaya to find the staff setting up for the wedding ceremony in the East Patio. We weren’t due to start until 2PM but we came a little early to scope out the estate since this is our first time shooting here. And though it is in the middle of winter, everything about this wedding venue is gorgeous, from the fountain in the front to the semi-circular balcony to the tall glass windows throughout the house.
Since I always start each wedding coverage off with detail shots, we took advantage of the gazebo and hung Linda’s wedding dress there first.
While the girls and I were busy with the dress, Henry went off the find the guys:

Ooooh, look at Jason! Looking extra dapper.
While Henry was out roaming the alleyways with the guys, I finished the wedding detail shots and started on getting photos with the girls:

Now it’s time to put this show on the road:

The First Look:
Linda and Jason’s wedding ceremony was set for 5:30PM with the cocktail hour and reception to follow right after. Since we knew that it would be dark by the time the ceremony starts and that we won’t have any sunlight to get the soft natural light photos, we decided to have a first look after Linda is done getting ready so that we can take all of the formal bridal photos before the wedding ceremony starts.
Formal Bridal & Family Photos:
Eeeeeeeee! I am so in love with them. And isn’t her bouquet so beautiful? Amour Florist did such an amazing job, as always!

As family is very important to Linda, she asked her family and Jason’s family to come early to join them for formal photos.

The Wedding Ceremony:
The good thing about photos is that you can’t feel the heat or the cold from when they were taken. Because it was freezing here! It got dark and it got dark quick! And once the sun went down, temperature dropped dramatically as well. So as the guests entered, everyone huddled on the seats nearest to the heater.
But everyone was full of smiles and joy for the couple’s nuptial.
Linda & Jason’s Wedding Reception at Vizcaya Pavilion:

“Jason, do you hear something?” “I can’t hear it. I think something’s there but I can’t hear it.”
So the guests clinked their glasses louder and louder.Encore for the kisses from the newly wed.

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!
Congratulations on your marriage, Mr. & Mrs. Labar! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together. May the years ahead be as happy if not happier than this beautiful wedding day. Thank you so much for allowing me and Henry the opportunity to share it with you and your closest friends!
