Toan and Healther got married this weekend at Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom, CA and we couldn’t be happier for them. They had a really intimate wedding surrounded by some of their closest friends and family. From her Maggie Soltero wedding dress to his slick suit, to her beautiful bouquet to the pretty Tiffany earrings that he got her as a surprise, everything was super beautiful!!! And I love, love, love the peach & light coral color palette that Heather chose (probably because that was also our wedding color when we got married 6 years ago. lol..)
Here is a sneak peek of their wedding day:
This was the sweetest gesture. Heather really like bows. So when Toan saw these, he thought it would be perfect for her, except Heather doesn’t really wear any jewelry. So on Friday morning, he drove to Roseville and sat outside of Tiffany’s for almost an hour, questioning his decision and going back and forth. He texted me and her Mom to ask for our opinions. lol.. I told him since he has sat there for that long already, he should get it (for by now, the thought means way more than the monetary value already.)Â
Meanwhile, the guys are having so much fun getting ready too!!!
With a really tight schedule between the ceremony and the start of the reception, they decided to go ahead and do the first look. That way, we can take all of the formal bridal photos beforehand and not have to rush afterward. And OMG! Toan’s reaction was soooo awesome!!!! He was so wow’ed by the way she looked. He kept checking and rechecking his wife out. lol.. And they kissed 4 times. Or was it 5 times? Part of me was thinking, “Ummmm, should I stop them? Cuz they can’t kiss until they are married by the officiant.” Then the other part was like, “Who cares!!! They are so darn happy together.” hahaha
At 5PM, when the sun has covered the majority of this courtyard (thank god!), their family and friends arrived for Toan and Heather’s wedding ceremony at Lake Natoma Inn.
In front of their closest friends and family, they exchanged wedding rings and shared the first kiss as husband and wife. Heather’s Mom cried. Actually, her Mom cried from the very beginning when her son walked her down the aisle. Toan’s Dad was so funny. He asked the groom’s sister to help him turn on Facebook Live to record the ceremony. He said their family in Vietnam are all waiting.Â
Here area a combination of formal bridal photos that we did with the bridesmaids and groomsmen as well as the formal portraits of the bride and groom that we did after dinner during sunset.
We waited until after dinner and after the bride and groom have gone around to thank their guests first before stealing them away for some sunset photos. Can you believe it, this was right off the venue’s parking lot?
I normally don’t shoot this dark but OMG! the golden light shining through the trees is so glorious, giving these photos the whole Twilight feel.
Not bad for a 15-min session during sunset, huh?
Thank you so much Toan and Heather for trusting us to document this really special day for you. We can’t wait to share the full gallery with you guy soon!
Here is a behind-the-scene shot that Henry captured of me. I didn’t realize that I had weeds all over my pants and shirt. I remember being poked by the thorns on the blackberry vines as I leaned back to try to get a wider shot of them with the bridge in the back. But them weeds, oy!!!! lol..#photoglife
Have a great week, everyone! I will be sharing more once I have edited their photos. Until then, connect with me me on on Instagram for the latest projects and photoshoots that I am working on. Thank you so much for following along!
