Kayla & Viet’s Engagement Session

My little brother is getting married in a month and I am soooo excited!!!! Oh Florida, here we come!!!

Before their engagement ceremony last July, I barely knew Kayla at all. But after meeting Kayla’s family at the tea ceremony (and I freaken love them soooo much) and after photographing these two for their engagement photos, my heart is so happy knowing that my little brother is making the right decision. Not only he is marrying his best friend, he is marrying someone who is kind, smart, and most importantly, someone that can make him laugh like no others. Seriously, I have never seen two people laughed so much as these two were at their engagement session.

We went to Talbot Island for their engagement session. It was a Tuesday afternoon. I was about 4 months pregnant at the time. It had been cloudy and super humid the whole day. My and my little sister panicked when it rained around 1PM. But like typical Florida weather in the summertime, the rain stopped and the sun came out. Sort of. Kayla and Viet were trying to save up their vacation days so they were going to meet up with me after work at Talbot Island. (I remember this day really clearly because this was the day I fell in love with Kayla.)

After being stuck behind a long line of cars due to road constructions, we made it to the park. They got out of the car and I just giggled. These two freaken matched from head to toes. For not having time to shop or prep much, they looked pretty polished and coordinated.

From the parking lot to the beach, we got chewed up by the mosquitoes. But that didn’t matter. They were giggling and laughing the whole time. Even when I made them climb the trees and run across the sand.

Or pretending like there was something interesting ahead but there wasn’t. bahahahhaa

Freaken amazing actors they were.

Congratulations my little love birds. I am so excited for you guys and your journey ahead. For sure it will be filled with challenges but that’s what will make you stronger as a team.

Here’s to wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!
Henry, London and I cannot wait to celebrate with you soon.

Told you we were chewed up by the mosquitoes.
