Guess who is getting married on October 1st?
Oh yes! THIS handsome couple right here.
Susan and Derek are getting married in less than 2 weeks and I am so excited to share their engagement photos with you. Theirs was the first session I’ve taken in the rain and I am so happy that they were down to get wet with me. Good thing my Nikon camera and lenses are waterproof because once you start photographing in the rain, there was so way to avoid getting wet, even if I had an umbrella and everything.
Their session happened back in March when Spring was supposed to have come. Who knew that the week leading up to it showed rain in the forecast. I was a bit nervous but Susan thought it would make for an interesting experience so she gave me the green light to go with it.
The edit made it looked bright and light but in reality, the clouds were rolling in and it started to sprinkled right after they got to the Crocker Art.
Then it started to rain harder so we hid in the balcony. While we were there, we had some fun with the balloons that they brought along.
For their second outfit and set, we walked over to Old Sac to get some shots in the with Tower Bridge. It was raining even harder then. The wind was getting stronger so at one pint, we threw out our umbrellas and ran in the rain. We got all wet. It was so cold but it was soooo much fun! And memorable.
Aren’t they the cutest?
If you look close in the picture below, you can see tons of droplets falling all around them too.
Thank you for being so awesome, you guys! I can’t wait to see you for your pre-wedding session next week. Let’s hope there will be tons of sunshine this time. hehehe…
I absolutely love your pictures!
